Life is Though

I sit here alone
I wait here alone
Silently and patient
Not a sound not a groan

Not a murmur
Not a sigh
No movement
No life

But then I hear
I hear it so clear
That sound that sound
That ringing sound in my ears

Boom Boom
Louder and higher
Bouncing around in my head
The sound, a girl, a crier.

My heart, racing
The blood rushing through my veins
the intensity, the feeling
The hurt, the pains

Its like a knife
Cold, sharp and strong
Digging into my flesh
Tearing apart my feelings, every last one

Drops of sweat running down my head
My eyes swollen like a wound
Yet this guilt wont seem to go
In my mind stuck, it just loomed

I just want this weight to go
To be lifted from my shoulders
All my worries would be gone
The heavy weight like 2 large boulders

So I grabbed for the knife
And looked at my wrist
The temptation was there
I took a deep breath and clenched my fists

I whispered a prayer
Before I could think
I slowly stood up
In my skin in would sink

Before I could do it
Before I could blink
A hand reached out
And took my arm in a link

They made me realize
I now understand
That our life is a precious thing
You just have to have patients to wait for the hand

Never even let it cross your mind
To take your own life
Everyday is a stuggle
But never reach for the knife

With a little help
And the strength to carry on
You can be a better person
The stars you can be upon
